OpenConcept proudly sponsored events like the Drupal Camp Toronto and the official DrupalCon which convenes Drupal practitioners from around the world. We are open advocators of Drupal in Government within Canada and around the world and have hosted Drupal in Government conferences to educate and facilitate adoption. 

OpenConcept have been major contributors to the advancement of accessibility enhancements within Drupal Core, especially for the new release of Drupal 7.

Drupal Adoption

Ever since the Howard Dean campaign team adopted Drupal as its CMS platform (during his bid for the Democratic Presidential nomination in 2004), it has proliferated among both progressive and mainstream groups across North America and beyond. Despite the existence of other open source CMS, Drupal is increasingly becoming the norm. Drupal has been named ‘Best Overall Open Source CMS’ by Packt Publishing for two years running. 

High profile organizations that have implemented the Drupal CMS include MTV UK, The Onion and all of the artists on Warner Brothers.

Government Organizations that currently use Drupal include the White House Website - whitehouse.gov, the Canadian Procurement Portal - buyandsell.gc.ca and the official website of the New Zealand Government - beehive.govt.nz/.
