Tim's just finalized the podcast for the Delicious presentation that I gave last week.
On Tuesday (Jan 20th, 2009) I'll be presenting another Tuesday Talk on Social Applications for the Web. This time the focus is on social bookmarking which allows you to organize and share your bookmarks with initiatives that you're involved with. Tagging content allows you to find others who might have similar interests as well as organizing your resources.
Of course CommonCraft has an excellent video explaining some general howto's and why bother's for general users:
There are additional advantages though for organizations who want to build lists of useful resources within their teams. By choosing common tags and building a network within Delicious it is easy to find out who has posted new & relevant information. Building your network of users in areas of interest will help you find new information when you need it.
I've recently started Twittering because of the options to link together various social networking sites like Digg, Facebook & Delicious promote content through a variety of sites.
It's also very useful to be able to find out more information about a specific URL's reference in Delicious. Lists of other Delicious tools are available all over the place, but this was worth while.. These two howto's also have some useful tips and habits for best use.
The tagroll function within Drupal is a great way to highlight the issues you're involved in. See the following from my Delicious account:
