Well, it's been interesting to see how the government is choosing to investigate alternative software licenses. In a very broad definition that includes (thanks Wikipedia for this summary) it isn't clear that this definition is going to provide them very useful responses:
- Abandonware
- Adware
- Beerware
- Careware
- Crippleware
- Demoware
- Donationware
- Foistware
- Freely redistributable software
- Free software
- Freeware
- Nagware
- Open source
- Otherware
- Postcardware
- Registerware
- Shareware
I wanted to thank the many respondents who took the time to fill in our survey.

- Benjamin Horst, SolidOffice
- Rolf Paloheimo, Creative Communties Research Inc
- Peter Vander Klippe
- Alfred Settle, Freelance IT Consultant
- Raymond MacDonald, Retired Taxpayer and GNU/Linux User

I tried downloading the PDF but all I got was this lousy 404 page. Seriously, it's a nice 404 page with good resources, but it doesn't help me in this case ;)
Sorry
Great to see this!
Thanks for taking the time to put something together for this important submission. I hope the government will wise up to how many tax dollars they are wasting on proprietary software licenses.
