We had to shut down ox.ca late yesterday. In reviewing our servers performance it became clear that too many people were using ox.ca for non-legitimate purposes.
Ox.ca was an attempt to have the shortest URLs possible by using both a super small domain name as well as a nice little counter.
In particular it was a reference in a forum tied to a mussel women named Gene X Hwang that caused us a bunch of grief. For some reason they decided to route the image through ox.ca about 12 times on that page.
OpenConcept can be hired to set up secure url redirection services for your organization, but is no longer able to offer this as a public service.
