OpenConcept was lucky enough to work with this passionate organization to help them develop a truly unique Drupal-based website. Just Vision had previously implemented another CMS solution and as such, had an existent, complex database that linked interviews from a diverse selection of 'peacebuilders' on a variety of themes. Developing the appropriate taxonomies and linking interviews with themes, footnotes, glossary terms and profiles was challenging but something that Drupal was able to handle well using content types and taxonomies.

The IOG was looking to update their website with a fresh new and well organized layout, where people could easily and efficiently find the information they were seeking. The IOG regularly releases important publications, hosts events, and offers a variety of educational services such as training courses. It was important to them to be able to feature each of these as highlighted aspects on their website.

The Alliance for Equality of Blind Canadians (AEBC) came to OpenConcept to harness our expertise, in developing a Drupal content management system to replace their existing website. Their previous website was difficult to navigate, search and most importantly difficult to maintain. OpenConcept's proposed solution included the design of an accessible, custom theme  that would improve the experience of AEBC's user base. In addition to ensuring that the theme successfully validated in W3C's markup validation service and providing the option to increase text size,  OpenConcept developed an alternate 'high contrast' theme to offer even more flexibility to the website's visitors.

OpenConcept was initially hired to provide PWGSC with a proof of concept, for a fully themed, CLF 2.0 compliant, Drupal 6 website to replace their existing Buyandsell.gc.ca procurement portal. The prototype eventually transitioned into a full webste development project, in which OpenConcept led a small team of Government employees and consultants.

The site was to allow administrative users to input metadata terms into various sections of the website. The website was to then format and output the dublin core metadata elements into each page that the site served. As well, the portal was to detect whether the (unauthenticated) user was accessing the site from a government or non government IP address and assign Drupal roles accordingly. As well, OpenConcept was instrumental in providing theming expertise, helping with accessibility concerns and performing Drupal training to internal and external resources.
