This survey is closed as the window on the PWGSC survey is closed. We've produced the following summary of our response to the No Charge Licensed Software RFI though which I hope is educational for those interested in this issue.
Public Works and Government Services Canada (PWGSC) has issued a Request for Information (RFI) through MERX related to No-Charge Licensed Software (typically referred to as Free and Open Source Software (FOSS)). To encourage more participation from open source advocates and developers I've created the following survey which we will be compiling for use in our own submission. There's a related blog post that has has all of Appendix B in it and some other notes from Canada's CTO.
We'd love to have thousands of folks participate in filling in the whole RFI for PWGSC, but given that there's only so much time we're trying to simplify the process to provide more concise input into the process.
