OpenConcept Consulting likes to foster a close relationship with clients, ensuring that they are engaged throughout the development process. Our project management methodology includes spending time during the project initiation phase to properly scope out requirements and investigate any potential risks. We nail down exactly what elements will be delivered within the first phase and what should perhaps wait for a second development iteration. These deliverables and timelines are documented within a ‘Project Log’ and provided to the client.

Even before design approval occurs, OpenConcept can begin development based on the agreed upon set of deliverables.  Once development has started, we are in constant communication with clients and encourage them to contact developers directly for specific questions and/or requests. Development is always done on the OpenConcept development server.

The development website URL is provided to clients at the earliest possible stage so that they can become familiar with the Drupal environment and to ensure that development progresses as per client expectations. Training is provided once the development website is ready for content entry, giving the client ample time to develop/migrate content and to become comfortable with Drupal.

Finally, development is completed in an iterative fashion, whereby the client can test the functionality of the site as it is developed. In this way, quality assurance is done throughout the build process by both OpenConcept and the client. We discover potential risks earlier and ultimately have fewer changes to implement prior to launch. Any final changes and quality assurance testing are performed during the weeks of development until the website is deemed ready for launch.

Upon launch of the website, clients can be comfortable knowing that OpenConcept can migrate the site, take control of the name server if required, handle setting up corporate email and continue to monitor and support the website if it is subject to an OpenConcept Support Agreement.
