T-Base Communications

T-Base Communications was looking to enhance their web presence by implementing a new design, by upgrading the accessibility of their website and by improving the simplicity and power that their CMS was able to provide.

They chose Drupal as their platform of choice because of its intuitive content management interface, its inherent built-in accessibility features and its growing popularity amongst organizations looking for a hands-on approach to the development of their website content. They decided to go with OpenConcept because of our expertise in Drupal as well as the area of accessibility. We were able to deliver a website that adhered to the WCAG 2.0 AAweb content accessibility guidelines, as outlined by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). The T-Base website successfully validates and can be checked using W3C's markup validation service.

The goal of this project was the establishment of a new T-Base Communications website that was accessible, aesthetically pleasing and could be easily modified by their team, with minimal training, enabling them to take control of their content. These goals were accomplished with the help of OpenConcept and enabled T-Base Communications to offer their clients company specific information in conjunction with regularly updated accessibility news and blog posts.

T-Base has been providing listen-ready and touch-ready contractual and customer management materials across North America since 1994 and fully understands the complex processes that are shaping the alternate format industry, literally pioneering the standards adopted by government and industry. T-Base emerged out of the recognition of voids in services offered to blind and partially sighted consumers by the CEO, Sharlyn Ayotte, and employs people who fully understand and appreciate the needs of their customers. This approach gives them an intimate knowledge of the services and products required in order for their clients to best serve their customers.
